Planning and Estimating Costs for Required Archaeological Studies

Water, wastewater and other infrastructure construction has the potential to disturb archaeological sites protected under the Heritage Conservation Act (HCA).  It is important to identify the projects that may overlap with these archaeological sites and prepare an approach for managing development related impacts. Since the cost for many of these projects is partially defrayed through trusts or other funding mechanisms, it is vital to have an accurate estimate of required archaeological study costs as part of a well prepared funding application.
