Funding and Information Tools for Community
Cultural Tourism
During consultations
across the province into
options for community
cultural tourism
development, MTCA staff
heard concerns about the
difficulties community
stakeholders face
locating information and
tools to help with
planning.
MTCA has scanned the
available programs
across government (at
the local, provincial
and federal levels) and
across external sources
to try and provide
assistance to these
community stakeholders.
The attached spreadsheet
documents nearly 200
funding sources and
information resources
that are available to
communities for
planning, developing and
operating community
cultural tourism
activities.
The spreadsheet shows
what kind of support is
offered, the sponsoring
agency and contacts, and
some detail on the
programs and
requirements. The
information provided is
taken directly from
information offered by
the sponsoring agencies,
and those sponsoring
agencies should be
contacted for the latest
and most complete
information.
