Conservation and Feasibility Planning Program

Purpose
This program supports the preparation of conservation
or feasibility plans for historic places officially
recognized by a local government.

Program Guidelines
Plans must reflect use of the
Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of
Historic Places in Canada.
Funds may be used for, but are not limited to, the
following activities:
- researching the historical importance of a
heritage resource
- assessing current condition
- preparing for emergency stabilization
- assessing the feasibility of conservation,
restoration or rehabilitation
- preparing a program of maintenance
- producing 'as-found' scale drawings and
photographs
- reviewing code compliance and necessary
upgrading
- preparing estimates for project costs
- determining what function a resource might serve
when conserved
- preparing a site management plan
